DIY : Beast's Costume (from Beauty and the Beast)

A weekend project :  the Beast's costume from Beauty and the Beast.

Cut it a bit too large for my 18 months old boy.  He does not seem to notice and toddling away happily with his cheeky smile.  Showed it off to the daddy and grandmother and refused to take it off despite the hot weather.

Handmade Prince Charming's Costume

It seems to be unfair to my little boy that his sisters have all the fun dressing up in costumes.  So when a friend suggested that I sew a Prince Charming's costume for him, I jumped on the idea straightaway.

I am always excited and full of satisfaction when I sew.  And the smile at my little boy's face?  Priceless!

So, here is my little Prince Charming.

Casual Clothes for Little Girls

I wonder if time just flies or my girls have grown too fast? They have grown so tall these days that their clothes are getting too tight and short for them.   Time to get them a closet of new clothes again.

Tried to purchase some clothes for the girls online.  It seems to be so much of a hassle!  Either I don't like the pattern, fabric, color or the sellers do not have the sizes that I want.  In the end, I feel that it is easier to just sew.  Ok... I like sewing and just looking for some excuses to sew rather than buy.

So here are the dresses that I sew in one weekend.  The maroon dress is belted with front buttons.  A friend commented that it reminds her of Audrey Hepburn.  The pink one is with elastic waist and lace sewn at the hem to add to the sweetness.   This is particularly easy to sew and more dresses of similar pattern can be expected soon.
